As an accomplished artist, author, illustrator, and Feng Shui Consultant, Melissa brings a wealth of creativity and expertise to the area. Melissa's children's book, "Ollie's Happy Sunny Day," was published by Pegasus Publishers in February of this year, which she wrote and illustrated marking a significant milestone in their literary and artistic journey. Art has always been a cornerstone of Melissa's life, inspired by their mother, who was also an artist. From a young age, she was introduced to the world of painting, which ignited a lifelong passion for visual storytelling. For the past 20 years, Melissa called the Kimberley region of WA her home, where the vibrant colors of the outback have significantly influenced their artistic palette. This unique environment has allowed them to develop a distinctive style characterized by bold and lively hues that capture the essence of the Australian landscape. A love for adventure and the sea led Melissa and he husband to sail around the east coast of Australia. During these voyages, she found inspiration in the reflections and waterscapes, which became a recurring theme in their work. The tranquility and ever-changing nature of the sea provided a perfect canvas for exploring the interplay of light and water. Now, calling Chittering her home, Melissa is eager to connect with the local community and share their artistic skills. With a deep understanding of color, design, and the beauty of working with a brush, they are passionate about bringing joy and inspiration to others through their art. Whether through their enchanting illustrations, insightful Feng Shui consultations, or captivating stories, Melissa continues to inspire and engage audiences of all ages. She looks forward to welcoming visitors, sharing her creative journey, and fostering a vibrant artistic community in Chittering.

Welcome to my studio, a space that embraces the beauty of nature and creativity. My studio can be anywhere—in the bush watching birds play or capturing a beautiful sunset. When the weather is favorable, I set up under a tree in my back garden, surrounded by the serene sounds of nature. If the weather doesn't cooperate, I retreat to my back shed, where I showcase my works against the backdrop of a mural on my water tank, featuring eucalyptus leaves and gumnuts. This versatile studio setup allows me to draw inspiration from the ever-changing environment and share my artistic journey with visitors.
