TAMI ESANCY 

Born Belfast, Maine, United States, I live and work in Bullsbrook, Western Australia. Chittering Acres Studio. Creative works are drawn from lived experiences, incorporating assemblage, waste forms, found objects, drawing, paint, sculptural, and ceramic forms are used in an expressionist manner and a humorist tone. Major influences range from Contemporary Perth Artists to the Expressionists, Dadaist, Pop Culture, Urban, and Low Brow Arts. Advance Diploma of Environmental Art and Design from Swan TAFE / Bachelor Contemporary Visual Arts (Major) form Edith Cowan University. Currently curated five community art projects based on illegal and legal waste in the community, and currently exhibiting in an artist-initiated exhibition at Bellevue Arts Space, held three solo exhibitions and forty collaborative group, or awards exhibitions. Currently completed an Artists residency at Malvern Springs Primary school Creatives in School Program. Including an artist residency at Midland Junction Arts Centre Employment as Visual Artist in these visual art terms: Art Workshop Facilitator/Tutor/Worker/Consultant/Technical Support Officer/Workshop Facilitator for the Department of Corrective Services/DADDA/Central TAFE/ Artlink’s/Ellenbrook Arts for the City of Swan/Fibrant Arts Bassendean. Hold current membership to Ellenbrook Art and regularly volunteer at the Arts Centre. Award first prizes twice from Darlington Arts Festival in paint and ceramic. Interviewed for “Gallery Watch”, on two occasions, appeared in the Perth “Voice,” contributed artwork for Carers WA. Works are held in various personal collections.
